Professor Huai Yang from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering becomes the Member of Editorial Board of Journal of Liquid Crystals, and the Associate Editor of Journal of Information Display.

Liquid Crystal is the highest authoritative journal in the liquid crystal area internationally. Korea is top ranked in the field of information display in the world, and Journal of Information Display of the Korean Society for Information Display Equipment has international academic recognition.

Professor Yang’s research interests focus on:(1) Display Materials such as Liquid crystal (LC) materials for thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCD), Light-enhancement and wide-viewing films for TFT-LCD; Blue phase liquid crystal materials; Laser preventive film ;Reflective color E-paper. (2) Intelligent and controllable energy saving film of building?Infrared shielding film?Films with temperature- and electric field-controllable light transmittance (3) polymer artificial lens and Hydrogel based on drug delivery system. He has published more than 190 SCI papers in high-quality journals , including Adv. Mater.

Professor Yang also receives honors including NSF Outstanding Young Researcher.
