On April 12, an academic exchange delegation from Department of Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management of National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan visited Peking University. The engineering students from both universities discussed seven interesting topics such as “Status of Cross-strait Medical System”, “Effects of cross-strait e-business development on consumer behaviors” and “Influence of e-social media and App on interpersonal relation”. Yang Wang, associate director of Innovation Education Center (Peking University) and Professor Mingyang Wang (National Tsing Hua University) participated in this activity.

On 1 pm, the guests took pictures in front of the Peking University Library. After that, they visited several campus famous sights such as “Boya Tower”, “Centennial Hall”, “Unknown Lake”and “Decaijunbei Ancient Buildings”. During this visit, Yong Li, a COE student, introduced in details about the origin and history of Unknown Lake, Boya Tower, West Gate and Ornamental Columns. The guests also visited the Peking University History Museum to know more about the history and development of Peking University. All visitors were deeply impressed by beautiful Peking University campus.

After that, the students from two universities were divided into several groups to discuss their interesting topics such as “Status of cross-strait medical system”, “Effects of cross-strait e-business development on consumer behaviors” and “Influence of e-social media and App on interpersonal relation”. Considering limited visit time in China mainland, the students had already begun to discuss on internet since March and prepared a preliminary report. So when they met in the Peking University, they can further discussed face to face and polished their report.
