On April 1, the preparatory Committee held College of Engineering (COE) first meeting for the ten year anniversary celebration. The COE leaders, Dean Dongxiao Zhang, Party Secretary Zhili Sun, Vice Party Secretary Dingguo Xia and Associate Dean Feng Chen as well as the directors of all departments attended this meeting.  The meeting was hosted by Assistant Dean Yongmei Li.

On the meeting, Dean Dongxiao Zhang first showed the COE 5th Anniversary Celebration film to all participants, and then called up all faculty and students of COE to provide ideas, resources and helps for college celebration. Dean Dongxiao Zhang also said that the new COE building will be starting construction in April. He emphasized that the ten year anniversary celebration would be a good opportunity to promote COE to the University as well as public.      

After that, Assistant Dean Yongmei Li introduced the ten year anniversary celebration drafted planning solution, which was discussed by all participants. The Party Secretary Zhili Sun gave suggestions on agenda, visual design, and budget. Alumnus and COE Alumni Association Vice Secretary Cheng Peng also suggested inviting more COE alumni for this celebration activity since they not only love COE, but also are invaluable resources for the development of COE.   

This meeting decided that the ten year anniversary celebration would be held in October 2015, and the preparatory committee should meet  to discuss the processing every month. As a great event, the ten anniversary celebration was officially launched. A series of related activities will be organized before the anniversary celebration.
