On April 21, Beiping University & Peking University COE Alumni Association launched the board meeting. About 20 alumni came together to communicate the new development of COE of Peking University. They also discussed the next step work about Alumni Association. Deputy General Secretary of Peking University Alumni Association Xiaoyun Zheng, director of Beiping University & Peking University COE Alumni Association Nai Wang, executive vice president of Beiping University & Peking University COE Alumni Association Yongmei Li and other related persons participated in this meeting.

The main topic of this board meeting is the COE’s ten year anniversary celebration activity. Miss Xiaoyun Zheng introduced the schedule of this event to the Alumni. Secretary of PKU COE Alumni Association Qi Liu also announced that the PKU COE Alumni Conference will be held on May 4th. General Secretary of Beiping University & Peking University COE Alumni Association Wenyi Huang reported the recent work of the Beiping University & Peking University COE Alumni Association.  On behalf of the COE, Yongmei Li expressed the gratitude to all alumni, and said that the COE of peking University will try the best to service the alumni, and actively response any comments from the alumni. Finally, Miss Li pointed out that COE of Peking University will hold the ten year anniversary celebration activity, which cannot be successful without the support and guidance of the COE’s alumni.

The alumni always care much about the development of COE of Peking University. On the meeting, Kaidao Gu and other alumni discussed the current situations of COE of Peking University as well as national engineering education. They suggested to strengthen the basic course teaching, and emphasized the importance of the ideological work among teachers and students. In their opinions, colleges and schools should conduct more cooperation and undertake more social responsibility. For the upcoming second PKU COE alumni conference and the ten year anniversary celebration, the alumni will also attend and present their excellent reports in Peking University.
