Professor Dongxiao Zhang, an expert on clean energy in the College of Engineering, was interviewed by CCTV on May 22 about shale gas exploration in China.

Zhang explained China’s recent proposition for private-owned companies to bid for the exploration of shale gas, the role of small-and mid-sized companies in the process and the significance of shale gas for China’s energy supply.

The interviewed aired live on CCTV News on May 22 and was rebroadcast on May 23.
