Recently, nine students from Georgia Institute of Technology (GT) arrived in China, marking the start of a three-month research and study program at Peking University.
All nine students are participants in the China Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) program in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
The CURE program, which supports junior undergraduate students with summer research experience in China, is a joint effort between Georgia Tech and Peking University. The program with PKU’s Department of Biomedical Engineering began three years ago.
The nine students will have laboratory experience with Chinese professors. In addition, their hosts will organize cultural experiences to help U.S. students develop an understanding of Chinese traditions and culture.
In July, a number of PKU students will be sent to Georgia Tech for their summer abroad program.
