On May 3rd the PKU COE Alumni Association set up the reception at the north square of Khoo Teck Puat Gymnasium to welcome all alumni graduated from COE (after 2005) and the old mechanics department (before 2005).

Since 8 o’clock, many alumni in different majors and grades had arrived at the square in succession. More than 40 alumni together with their families went back to Peking University from all over the country. Despite leaving from the campus for many years, the alumni still concerned  very much about the development of Peking University and new COE. They were very happy to see the development and achievement of new COE, and expressed intensive wishes to participate in the ten years’ anniversary celebration activity of new COE on October 18th, 2015.  

During this activity, the COE alumni shared their campus stories, wrote down their best wishes to the new COE and showed their deep emotion to Peking University as well. To welcome the alumni, the Office of Alumni Affairs and Fund Management prepared many COE brochures, technology transfer programs, quarterly periodicals featuring recent events and books relating to alumni. Especially, Meng Qinglong who entered PKU in 1949 also went back to school from Tianjin on that day. In his 84 years old, he donated his monograph to the new COE, and took pictures with young COEers.   

The activity finished successfully at 3 pm. All alumni were impressed by the fast development and great achievement made by the new COE. Meanwhile, this activity provided a precious opportunity for all alumni to meet with old classmates, recall campus life, and visit the campus scenery of Peking University.
