
The College of Engineering signed agreements with Baotou City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for entrepreneurship and technology transfer cooperation on March 12.
College of Engineering Dean Shiyi Chen, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Vice Chairman Qijun Guo and Baotou City Mayor Weidong Sun signed an “Agreement on Cooperation Framework for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer” and a “Rare Earth Denier Nylon Industrial Projects Agreement.”
Baotou City is the largest industrial city in Inner Mongolia and one of the important industrial centers in China. It boasts abundant resources in rare earth, iron and steel.. The College of Engineering has conducted advanced research in energy and materials, and is in need of technology transfer and industrialization partners.
The signing ceremony was chaired by Duoxiang Wang, COE Assistant Dean for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer. He introduced the university’s current level of technology transfer and suggested potential arenas for cooperation. .
Professor Yanglong Hou and Professor Xidong Wang of COE introduced their respective research in new materials and new energy, expressing hope to cooperate with Baotou City in the future.
