Material Scientist Haifeng Yu recently joined the College of Engineering (COE) Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Before joining COE, he was a specially appointed associate professor in Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan. He received his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2003.
Yu’s research interests include photo-responsive liquid crystals, light-triggered photonics, nanotechnology and self-organization. He has authored three books and published over 40 papers on various peer-reviewed journals.
