    Australia Center for Nanoscale BioPhotonics - Division of Peking University Launch Ceremony held at College of Engineering

  • On July 13, Australia Center for Nanoscale Biophotonics–Division of Peking University launch ceremony was held at College of Engineering in PKU. 12 delegates from Australia, and 10 delegates from College of Engineering, School of Chemistry, and School of Life Sciences of Peking University attended the ceremony and the bilateral exchanges. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Peng Xi of Department of Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering.

    This activity deepens the academic exchange and cooperation between PKU and many Australian schools.


    Center for Nanoscale Bio-Photonics is abbreviated CNBP. The Centre is one of the Center of Excellence (CoE) funded by Australia Research Council (ARC). Website: http: //cnbp.org.au/

    The Australian representatives are: University of Adelaide: Prof. Mark Hutchinson, director of CNBP; Macquarie University: Vice-Chancellor Professor James Piper, Professor Dayong Jin, Dr. Jiajia Zhou, and Dr. Guozhen Liu; RMIT University: Professor Andrew Greentree, Prof. Brant Gibson, Prof. Antony Orth, and Dr. Daniel Drumm.

    The Chinese representatives are: College of Engineering: Professor Peng Xi and Professor Changhui Li; College of Chemistry: Professor Yujie Sun; School of Life Sciences: Professor Liangyi Chen, and Tsinghua University: Professor Juntao Gao.


    As one of the CNBP overseas participant institutions, Peking University has maintained strong collaborations with other CNBP research institutions. On Australia side, the PIs are Adelaide University, Macquarie University, University of Technology Sydney, and RMIT. Currently, the overseas PI units of CNBP include the University of Toronto in Canada, London Metropolitan University, the University of Jena in Germany, as well as many other internationally renowned universities and research institutes.
