On December 1st, the Peking University Table Tennis Game of 2015 was held in the university gymnasium, where the final eight of the table tennis teachers’ teams competed for the championship. After fierce competition, the College of Engineering (COE) women’s team finally won the championship of women’s game.

The COE women’s team players included Ms. Yongmei Li, assistant dean of COE, Ms. Yan Li, lab administrator in the Department of Mechanics and Engineering Sciences, and Ms. Ying Guo, secretary of the Lab for Computational Fluid Dynamics.

The team defeated the women’s team from PKU Library in the final eight, and then the team from PKU High School in the final four.

In the final, COE met the team from School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science. Ms. Yongmei Li first beat Ms. Weiwei Hu with a big score of 3:0. In the second match, Ms. Yan Li lost the game. In the third match, Ms. Ying Guo lost the first two rounds, but after quickly adjusting her strategy, she won the last three rounds dramatically. Then Ms. Yongmei Li won the fourth match. Thus, the COE team won the competition of women’s team for this year. The team was also the winner of last year’s game for women.
