On March 25, 2015 the 23 rd. "Challenge Cup" of Peking University—Youth Science Competition was held in COE Building #1-212 meeting room. There were 17 works in this competition. Professors Zuoli Xiao, Dong Wang, Kuangshi Chen, Yong Wang, Guoliang Pu and Yan Zhang on behalf of their departments commented and graded for those works. Zhao Li, and Xiaomin Wang, leaders of the College Youth League, also attended this defense.

On the competition, all group students demonstrated their own works, which covered many subjects such as biology, material, mechanics and physics, etc. The students paid attention to both realistic life works such as active anti-haze mask, and Frontiers of Science and technology such as biological nanomaterial. All judging professors highly praised for the students’ prudent academic attitude, meticulous rigorous way of thinking, and frontier novel innovation ability. In addition, the professors also gave suggestions to further improve the works.

Ten groups were selected in this competition, and will attend the National Competition on behalf of the COE, Peking University.
