On November 21, Professor Scherpen, director of the Institute for Technology, Engineering and Management of University of Groningen of Netherland paid a visit to the Intelligent Control Lab of the College of Engineering. She had a good communication with Professor Guangming Xie, director of the lab and the lab students.

Professor Xie and his students presented the lab’s latest research on underwater biomimetic robot fish, explained the technical difficulties and innovation principles and did demonstration experiments. Professor Scherpen also introduced her team’s recent research outcome in the field of non-linear system control.

Before the communication concluded, Professor Scherpen expressed willingness to strengthen communications and cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in terms of teaching and research, with an aim to establish long-term and consistent partnership.
