Professor Xiaowei Zhan at Department of Materials Science and Engineering was recently appointed as Associate Editor of Journal of Materials Chemistry.
Journal of Materials Chemistry was founded by Royal Society of Chemistry, UK in 1991 and publish high impact research work in the field of materials chemistry and applications. Its SCI journal impact factor of 2012 is 5.968.
From January 2013, the journal is divided into three branches of A, B and C, where C focuses on the field of electronic and photonic materials and devices, for which Professor Zhan serves as Associate Editor from March 2013.
Professor Zhan’s research interests focus on organic and polymeric optoelectronic materials and devices. He has published more than 130 peer-reviewed papers in high-quality journals so far, with SCI citations of over 4000. He is among Essential Science Indicators "Highly Cited Scientists" (top 1%). Besides, one of Zhan’s papers was listed in “Top 100 Most Cited Chinese Papers Published in International Journals in 2011”.
Dr. Zhan was also recipient of the "Hundred Talents Program" of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as “Distinguished Young Scholars” of Natural Science Foundation.
