Yokohama National University (YNU) Vice President Hitoshi Yamada and several YNU Graduate School of Environment and Information Sciences professors visited Peking University (PKU) on March 19.
The delegation was received by PKU Vice President Yansong Li and professors from the PKU College of Engineering.
The College of Engineering and YNU Graduate School of Environment and Information Sciences currently have exchange programs within the engineering discipline. The visit aimed to increase university-level cooperation as well as faculty research collaborations.
“I hope the relationship between our two schools will grow firm and mighty just like a newly-planted tree,” Yamada said.
Located in Yokohama, a 30 minutes drive from Tokyo, Japan, YNU has is known for its programs in wind engineering and safety management.
Li proposed that the two universities contact Shihezi University in Xinjiang for environmental research cooperation.
