On June 5, SAP had a dialogue with the College of Engineering (COE) seeking further cooperation.
Dr. Ming-Chien Shan and Dr. Dina Bitton, Vice Presidents of SAP, paid a visit to COE and spoke with COE Dean Shiyi Chen. Chen introduced the history and current status of the college, elaborating on its extensive relationship with the engineering industry and opportunities for students such as the Capstone Design program, which organizes student teams to work on industry-sourced projects.
Shan and Bitton said COE’s development was very impressive. They revealed that SAP has decided to team up with four universities in China, including Peking University, to focus on the application level of their large databases.
The two parties expressed willingness to build a long-term scheme. They also discussed opportunities to collaborate in areas including biomedicine, energy and city integration.
