Prof. Moritz Riede is associate professor for Soft Functional Nanomaterials at the University of Oxford, UK. Before joining Oxford, he was postdoc and led a junior research group on organic solar cells at the Institut für Angewandte Photophysik of the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. He has published more than 120 research articles, four book-chapters as co-author, one book as co-editor and one special journal issue as guest editor. He hold several patents and received the Academics “Junior Researcher of the Year 2011” award in Germany and was elected into the Global Young Academy in 2014, for which he served as co-chair from 2017 to 2018. His interests are organic solar cells, the transition of our energy system to renewable energy and the role of science in society.
